Do you offer on-site computer service?
Yes. We come to your office or home to install, upgrade, diagnose, and troubleshoot your computers and network. No need to dig your computer out of its desk and haul it to a shop, because we come to you. If your computer needs work back at our shop, we'll do the digging and unplugging for you, and return the fixed machine to you.
Which computer should I buy?
It depends on your needs. We are happy to give computer purchase advice for new customers. Based on your needs and budget, we will recommend the computer that will work for you.
Do you repair laptops?
We can solve any software related problems for notebook computers. However, we can only work on a limited range of laptop hardware problems. We can replace fans and hard drives, install ram, and some other things. However, for problems such as cracked screens or failing motherboards you will need to contact a factory certified technician, as they will have access to parts and tools specific to your laptop. We know that it may be hard for you to know what the exact problem is, so please call us, and we'll tell you if we can help you or not.
Do you work afterhours?
We don't really have an "after hours". We do most of our work during weekdays, but we will do what is needed to fit your schedule.
Why do you bill by the hour, and why is there a minimum of one hour?
We bill our clients by the hour with a 1 hour minimum. We do this to avoid having to charge a large trip charge like some tech companies. Instead we just charge a $5 gas surcharge.
This means that when we go on site, our clients get their best value by giving us a large list of problems. Every office has a host of small issues that are not in themselves worth calling a tech out to deal with, but once a tech is on site we can solve a large number of small issues and make everything run more smoothly.
Since we don't charge by the task, but by the hour, all of those small tasks that take a couple of minutes each to solve add little or nothing to your bill. This encourages our clients to try to make sure everything is running as well as it can rather than focusing just on the one thing that is broken.
We also are avid multi-taskers. It is not unheard of for us to have a scan running on one computer, and something downloading on another while we work on a third. In short, we try to give the best value for your money that we can.
